On the 12th of July 2023, COPESSA conducted part two of the safeguarding training for its staff and volunteers. The training focused on the protection of children and vulnerable adults and the guiding policies. The guiding principle for COPESSA’s safeguarding policy is to always act in the best interest of the child and/ or adult in vulnerable circumstances.
One outcome of the training was the formation of the safeguarding committee, which will ensure that the safeguarding policies are implemented and adhered to accordingly, and the signing of the pledge to uphold the safeguarding principles at all times by the trainees.
